The best baby tracker for nannies in 2026, compared

This page is for a parent in the US who is about to ask a nanny to log the day in an app and wants to choose the right one first. One thing before anything else: we make NidoLoop, one of the five apps below. Every fact about another app links to that vendor's own page, we say plainly where they beat us, and where we could not confirm something we say so. Huckleberry is here because it is what every nanny baby tracker gets compared against.

What matters when a nanny is the one logging

A shared baby tracker app for two parents and one for a parent and an employee are different products. Five questions separate them.

NidoLoop

Ours. Every member picks a language (English, Spanish, Nepali or Russian) and reads everything in it: chat, notes on entries, the daily routine, the meal plan, even the food names. A spoken live-translate mode covers the moment at the door; speech is recognised on the phone and read aloud in the other language, both directions. A nanny starts and ends her shift with one tap, and both sides see the hours log: a weekly table for the parent, a twelve-month view for her, and it stays with her when she moves to a new family. She joins with a six-character code and a parent approves the request.

Best for: a household where the nanny and the parents do not share a language, or where hours worked need to be on the record.

Where it falls short: no growth percentiles, head circumference or milestones yet; no voice logging; export is JSON and a PDF report, not CSV; the code is typed, not scanned; no web app. Android is on Google Play; iOS is on TestFlight, not yet in the App Store.

Price: free today, for the whole care team. Premium is planned but not on sale; logging, chat, translation, the health record and check-in stay free. See nidoloop.com.

Pebbi

A UK app from a single developer, launched in 2026. Its idea is no accounts at all: two phones pair by QR code, nobody types an email or a password, and the record lives on the paired phones. Free covers two carers and one baby with full tracking, handovers, reminders and CSV export. Premium raises that to five carers and five babies and adds an AI handover that turns the last 24 hours into a written summary. English only.

Best for: a parent and one nanny who want to be logging in two minutes with nothing to sign up for.

Where it falls short: the no-account model cuts both ways. In Pebbi's own words, "no account means no cloud backup. If both parents delete the app, the data goes with it." Anyone who scans the QR is in; there is no approval step. Two parents and a nanny already needs Premium. No hours log, no translation.

Price: free for two carers; Premium £2.49 a month, £19.99 a year or £34.99 for life. No US dollar price is published; the store sets it by location. Sources: pricing, nanny page, the backup note.

BubSync

Built by two founders in Brisbane and still pre-release: Android is in open testing on Google Play, iPhone is on TestFlight, and there is a web app. Two things stand out for a nanny household. The 24-hour handover link: send it by text or WhatsApp, and whoever has the baby opens a private web page with no account and no download. And role-scoped sharing: mark a member as a parent, family or a carer, pick which babies she can see, and carers do not see photo memories by default. Growth is on WHO and INTERGROWTH charts with corrected age for preterm babies. English only.

Best for: the occasional sitter or grandparent who should never have to install anything, and parents who want a browser.

Where it falls short: live sharing between phones is Premium-only, so the everyday nanny case is a paid case. Not in the App Store yet, priced in Australian dollars, no translation, no hours log.

Price: free for two babies with the handover link; live family sharing A$9.99 a month or A$79.99 a year, roughly US$52, with a one-month trial. Sources: FAQ, Play listing.

Nubo

A US app from Clicksie LLC, founded in 2023. Nubo's bet is that the nanny logs more when logging costs nothing: on-phone voice logging ("audio and transcripts never leave your phone"), an Alexa skill, and an $89.99 five-button device for the counter (bottle, nursing, sleep, wet, dirty), so nobody opens an app at all. Free is generous: unlimited caregivers, multiple children, milestones, vaccines and offline mode. Growth uses WHO and Fenton charts with percentiles. English only.

Best for: a household that wants the fastest logging and does not mind buying hardware.

Where it falls short: App Store and Amazon reviews complain about crashes and about not knowing whether a button press registered; Google Play shows 100+ downloads after two years. Reminders, CSV export and the Care Vault handoff reference are paid. No translation, no hours.

Price: free with unlimited caregivers; Premium $39.99 a year; device $89.99, and each sync with it gives the phone 30 days of Premium. Sources: pricing, device, App Store.

Huckleberry

We did not research Huckleberry to the same depth, so this is short. It is a sleep-coaching product with a decade of brand behind it; the sleep program is why families pay. Sharing is a shared login, not a free seat for each caregiver.

Best for: a household that shares one language and wants sleep guidance more than shared logging.

Where it falls short for a nanny: no free seat for the caregiver, and the top annual price is the highest on this page.

Price: $11.99 or $14.99 a month, $68.88 or $119.88 a year by tier, according to Pebbi's July 2026 pricing comparison, not checked by us against Huckleberry's own page.

Our pick, and when it isn't us

If everyone in the house speaks the same language and what you really want is a sleep program, choose Huckleberry and give the nanny the login. If you want a button on the counter so she never opens her phone, Nubo. If you want nobody to make an account and accept that the record lives on two phones, Pebbi. If your nanny speaks Spanish, Nepali or Russian, or you want her hours in the same place as the baby's day, NidoLoop. That is the household we built it for, and it is free.
